                MY SISTER – THE ONLY SIBLING OF MINE.

It was on a drizzling day that an angel was sent to my house,

With tiny finger, fragile lips, and closed eyes, she descended into our penthouse,

I was told that she was a doll to play with, whenever I chose,

She would laugh and play but would fall if I held loose.

With supreme care, I jested with her,

She was as soft as fur,

What exasperated me was that she cried whenever I pressed her,

She stole all the attention of my mom with her tear.

As days advanced, she grew bigger,

Eating, playing, dancing was all together,

But she also fought with me like a tiger,

We would fight like cats but could never live without each other.

When I reached my teens, she was my best friend,

She was the one who obscured all my enigmas and never allowed me to bend,

With her around, I desired no one to blend,

She was my moral support and taught me modern trends.

Today, I know she was a boon sent to me from the Almighty,

With her around, everything is bright and lively,

No doubt, at times we face problems as she is naughty,

But with her support, I can contest even the mighty.

Indeed, siblings are a blessing in disguise,

We may not know their value when they are nearby,

But without them, life would become like a curse,

Or like ice cream without ice.

With her in my life, I never needed a brother,

When she stood by my side, nobody was there to bother,

With her in our life, I feel complete rather,

She is my inspiration as she is hugely more ingenious.
